1. CTEV (Congenital tellipes equino varus) or club foot: clubfoot is basically a deformity of the foot wherein the foot is turned/rotated inward and downward. This is most common foot deformity in children. Children with this deformity present with inward rotated feet at birth.
Treatment: Treatment should start as soon as possible after birth as sooner the treatment is started greater is the success rate. Most of the cases recover fully with serial plaster cast. Plaster is changed weekly and it takes 5-7 cast to correct the foot deformity. After correction special shoes are worn for next three years to prevent recurrence. Children who present late may require surgical correction.
2. Congenital vertical talus (CVT):
These children also present at birth and they have convex sole instead of normal concave sole. Early cases may be treated by cast but most of the time these children require surgical correction.

I remember that Dr. Jain came out from his clinic to see my mother because my mother was not able walk a single step. He did total knee replacement on both side and now my mother is walking without aid.
